Discover the Centre's population research at the BE OPEN – Science & Society Festival, a festival for everyone who is inquisitive.
Researchers from the Wittgenstein Centre (IIASA, VID/ÖAW, WU), led by Founding Director Wolfgang Lutz, will represent the topic of demography in a separate pavilion as one of the festival's 18 scientific pop-ups.
Join them in this celebration of the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) 50th Anniversary, for a range of interactive activities suitable for children and adults alike. Vienna's Maria-Theresien-Platz will be transformed into a garden of curiosity created to engage enquiring minds.

In assessing the effects of these forces on long-term human well-being, we combine scientific excellence in a multidisciplinary context with relevance to a global audience. It is a collaboration among the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW), the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) and the University of Vienna.
