Eva Beaujouan received the Jan M. Hoem Award for her outstanding achievements on the intersection of social policy and family demography.
Tomas Sobotka received the Dirk J. van de Kaa Award for his outstanding achievements in social demography and the interplay of population dynamics and social change.
The two prizes were awarded by the European Association for Population Studies (EAPS) on 2 July at the closing ceremony of the European Population Conference in Groningen.
The Wittgenstein Centre aspires to be a world leader in the advancement of demographic methods and their application to the analysis of human capital and population dynamics. In assessing the effects of these forces on long-term human well-being, we combine scientific excellence in a multidisciplinary context with relevance to a global audience.
