Marcus Immonen Hagley joined the University of Vienna in July 2024 as a Postdoctoral Researcher for the ERC-funded project on Biological, Individual, and Contextual Factors of Fertility Recovery (BIC.LATE). His research at the University of Vienna focuses on understanding the impact of infertility and delayed fertility. His general research interests revolve around family dynamics and inequalities. Marcus Immonen Hagley obtained his PhD in Political and Social Sciences from the European University Institute, where he defended his thesis, “Remnants of Kin: Three Essays on Kin Loss,” which examined the socioeconomic impact on individuals experiencing kin death. He was part of the 2018/2019 cohort of the European Doctoral School of Demography and completed his Master's degree in Sociological Demography at Stockholm University.
