Gladys Shamirian joined IIASA in September 2021 as administrative assistant to the Population and Just Societies Program (POPJUS). Ms Shamirian holds a bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Beheshti University of Tehran, Iran and has worked for many years in the field of quality management systems as auditor and certification coordinator. Ms Shamirian has several years of working experience as assistant to the director. In addition, Ms Shamirian has over than 10 years of experience in the field of education and also works as a freelance teacher.
