Gregor Zens is a research scholar at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), affiliated with the Population and Just Societies (POPJUS) program. He received his PhD in economics from the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) and held positions at the Bocconi Institute for Data Science and Analytics (BIDSA) and at the Institute for Statistics and Mathematics at WU. Furthermore, he has acted as a scientific consultant for the International Bank of Reconstruction and Development and the International Finance Corporation. His research interests include developing statistical methods and empirical models to analyze social science phenomena, with a focus on applications connected to human development.
